Reviewing the day - 12 November 2k25
Wednesday, 12th November 2025
Wednesdays at work are usually meeting days, so I always wake up early to meet up with the 7 a.m. meeting time — especially since I take my time to bathe and dress up. Today, I almost arrived late, mainly because of the shortage of bike transporters and the bad road.
The meeting focused mostly on security issues. The Head of Operations was livid because one of our customers, who withdrew ₦5 million, was trailed from the bank and had his car burgled.
Oh, I didn’t mention — I’ve been working with Zenith Bank all these years. I thought I should share that.
Work today was less strenuous since there wasn’t much activity. It’s been like that for about a month now. I wasn’t in the best of moods either, as I was still feeling unwell. I was diagnosed with malaria two days ago.
Later in the day, one of my acquaintances — the same person I once sold my used laptop to, who still hasn’t paid me — reached out, asking for a soft loan. Before he even explained why he needed it, I already knew I wasn’t going to lend him the money. I still gave him a listening ear because I care. But honestly, someone who couldn’t pay back 40k... I doubt he would want to service a 380k loan. I felt for him, but I had to turn him down.
I didn’t do much when I got home. I couldn’t decide whether to go for midweek service or get a haircut. My indecisiveness lingered, and I ended up doing neither. I was just scrolling through Twitter, reading about Ezra and his polycule drama. I made some noodles later, ate, and went to bed around 11 p.m.
